Description

As a Level 3 Software Developer Apprentice, you will be undertaking a recognised apprenticeship qualification, including Microsoft certifications, at the same time as working as part of the company’s Software Development team.

You’ll work as part of the team to learn about the latest technologies used to deliver what is needed, including C#.

As a Microsoft Software Developer Apprentice your main role and responsibilities will include:
• Coding for Microcontrollers and Modems
• Using Java
• Learning how to collate feature requests.
• Becoming a valued part of the Software Development team.
• Being responsible for extracting data and processing the extracted data.
• Gaining on the job experience and being able to utilize the skills you have gained over the duration of your apprenticeship.
• Learning and developing skills in integration management using Team City technology.
• Updating and using software and systems development.

Future Prospects


A full time position is available to become a software developer once the apprenticeship has been completed.

Skills Required :


• Have an interest in coding-someone who has an interest in it and may do this as a hobby
• An interest in software development is mandatory.
• You will be highly organised, have excellent communication skills and a brilliant telephone manner. The Software Developer Technician (Level 3) apprenticeship contains the following knowledge modules and Microsoft Technological Associate (MTA) certifications:
• Software Development Context & Methodologies
• Programming
• MTA Software Development Fundamentals (C#)
• MTA Database Fundamentals
You will attend 3 training courses to help you pass the exams for the 2 knowledge modules and the MTA:
• Software Development Context & Methodologies
• Programming Using C#
• Database Fundamentals

These qualifications are globally recognised industry certifications and form the significant building block of software development knowledge for anybody looking to start a career in software development.

Qualification(s) Required :


A GCSE, BTEC or A/S Level in Business Admin or Business Studies would be beneficial · Experience within a customer service, administration or sales role is preferred but not essential
