Intequal, in partnership with the Microsoft Apprenticeship Programme, are offering this exciting opportunity to embark on a career as an IT Helpdesk apprentice.
Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will receive Microsoft training and accreditation through online learning and practical experience. These qualifications are highly respected and sought after and the skills, knowledge and experience you will gain whilst on the programme are invaluable, giving you the best possible chance at starting your professional career in the industry.

Job Role
The company require a proactive IT Technician with an aptitude for communication and interest in Microsoft infrastructure technologies such as Windows.
Quickly assimilating new technologies, being able to apply what is learnt and showing a genuine enthusiasm for the technology are critical to this position’s success.

As an IT support apprentice your main roles and responsibilities will include:
Intercepting alerts from the monitoring system and investigating the cause of the alert
Completing daily health-check routines such as checking and resolving backup issues
Managing remote management activities such as windows updates, virus definition rollouts and software installations
Providing remote support to a number of customers, making use of our remote management systems to quickly resolve the queries
Building PCs and servers ready for installation onsite
Configuring broadband routers

Skills Required :


The company require a bright, enthusiastic and hard-working individual with a genuine desire to learn and build a career in the IT sector. You will have a friendly personality, be able to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service. · You must have at least a C grade for Maths & English at GCSE
· A GCSE, BTEC or A/S Level in Business Admin or Business Studies would be beneficial
· Experience within a customer service, administration or sales role is preferred but not essential

Qualification(s) Required :


You will have a C grade for Maths & English at GCSE or equivalent. You must have a GCSE/BTEC/A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT/software.
