YEUK Partnership

Gemma Fishel - Wednesday, October 21, 2015

We are excited to announce our official partnership with YEUK! Which aims to bring both of our supportive services together to help tackle and solve the problems that young people face when it comes to finding employment, as well as the information they need to support them in their search.

YEUK are a fantastic organisation that take youth issues straight to the government and find ways to help young people excel in their careers and understand their options. They offer various ways for young people to get involved such as becoming a youth ambassador, sharing your youth voice or approaching YEUK for help and guidance. Just like AIM they work with young people from the ages of 16-24.

Last year, AIM was awarded with the Youth Friendly Employer award, and ever since we’ve continued to live up to the title and are now eager to take another step in the right direction by further assisting YEUK in their research and promoting our services to all of the young people that both organisations work with. It's a great way to continue the battle against youth employment and we're determined to help each other to find solutions to this problem. Whether that is through an apprenticeship or an alternative route, this partnership will continue to support young people in their employment journey and it’s a great opportunity to promote the right information to candidates looking to start their careers in the best way.

We will also be encouraging organisations to focus on the needs of young people looking to integrate into work; and bridging the skills gap of valuable work experience is a message both AIM And YEUK express a shared importance in. Linking the services of YEUK’s youth portal and educational values, couple extremely well with AIM’s tailored services to the students we work with in order to help guide them in the right direction.

AIM has a lot of exciting new opportunities coming up in the next few months and being joined with YEUK is one of the great first steps. Along with our new brochure launching in January and new companies coming on board, adding to our list of roles, it’s a great honour to still be acknowledged as a Youth Friendly Employer.
