Dress to Impress!!

Gemma Fishel - Friday, October 16, 2015

Did you know that when you meet someone for the first time, within the first 10 seconds you know whether or not you’re going to get on with them or not…

Whether the occasion is formal or casual this fact always applies, so they say. So when you go for an interview creating the ideal impression is key…you never get a second chance of a first impression!

One of the most important things when heading for that all-important interview is making sure you dress well. Just think about it, when you’re trying to impress someone you have that first crush on you always try to look your best in front of them, well the same applies when meeting your possible new boss for the first time as well.

You want to be able to back up, if not improve, what you’ve already written in your CV and Cover Letter, so if you’ve claimed to ve professional and punctual turning up in jeans and a t-shirt will not prove reassuring to the employer. On the other hand, going for that smart dress code will confidently be a better option. It doesn’t stop there either, interviewers will commend candidates arriving slightly earlier than expected, a good 10-15 minutes will not go unnoticed. Be sure to do your own research on the company so you can wow with some interesteing facts and a good hand shake will seal the deal!
