Our Apprenticeships are available at level 2 Intermediate and Level 3 advanced for individuals wishing to

develop a career in sport, coaching and education.

Suitable for ages 16-18 applicants must have a strong interest in sport. Suitable applicants will be required to

complete a formal interview process.

Ignite Sport UK are seeking talented individuals to support their coaching programmes as PE & Sports

Coaching Apprentices in Oxford & Reading and a BRAND NEW specialised Martial Arts Apprenticeship

available in Maidenhead and surrounding areas. If you love sport and want to work with children and adults

to increase their passion for a healthy active lifestyle, A sports apprenticeship may be suitable for you!

We offer 3 different apprenticeship frameworks dependent upon your work setting. Ignite Sport UK are a

registered training provider and employer working with many Schools, Coaching Companies and Sports

Organisations to create employment opportunities or apprentices.

The structure of your week will depend upon your employed place of work but will include work and gaining

industry relevant qualifications. You will also be supported in all areas to develop your career.

Each apprenticeship pathway is a year in duration and will be determined at interview dependent on age,

experience and work setting. Apprentices can progress from one framework to another following successful

completion.

All of the frameworks include some core roles and responsibilities;-

 Prepare, assist, lead and review PE and school sports sessions

 Working to develop individual, unit and team performance

 Support the development of PE and school sport

 Set up, take down and store activity equipment

 Working with other coaches

 Developing links with key partners

 Assist with the management of school sports teams

 Support the organisation of intra and inter-school competitions

 Developing out of school programmes, clubs and sports camps

 Comply with all necessary policies and procedures relating to child protection, equality and diversity,

health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an

appropriate person
