Skills Required :

• Clear verbal communication and written skills
• Basic IT skills
• Be courteous when talking to colleagues, patients, their families and visitors on the ward and to treat everyone with dignity and respect.
• Knowledge of physical and psychological needs of people (patients)
• Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and e-mail programmes
• Progressive knowledge of nursing practice, policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care and contribution to Trust performance and Trust Objectives

Qualification(s) Required :

• Minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English, Mathematics, and a Science or Health and Social care based subject • Level 1 / GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent Adult Literacy and Numeracy) Grade D
