Babcock are the training partner of choice for a number of prestigious automotive manufacturers, delivering their apprenticeship training across the country using customers dedicated training facilities or their own purpose built training centres.
We are proud to work with Volkswagen Group, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda Motors UK, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and Royal Mail Group, as well as the best of the UK’s independent garages.
An automotive apprenticeship isn’t just about fixing cars. The days of mechanics with overalls covered in grease has moved on as manufacturers develop their technology and become more dedicated to enhancing their customer’s experience. Babcock now deliver apprenticeship programmes across a wide range of disciplines including service technician, product advisor, customer service advisor, sales advisor, body repair technician, paint technician and mechanical, electrical & trim (MET) technician.

Future Prospects

In the second year of your apprenticeship, you will undertake an Outward Bound course; a five day programme in the picturesque setting of Ulswater. This action packed week will be an opportunity for you to develop your personal skills of leadership, communication and teamwork. The Outward Bound week is a life-changer where you get to push yourself to the max!

Whichever manufacturer you work for through your apprenticeship programme, you will become an ambassador for that brand. Babcock works in partnership with our customers so that we understand their brand values and pass them on to all of the apprentices. Apprentices will also benefit from receiving training on the latest products from each of the automotive retailers and manufacturers; using the latest technology and quite often getting an early look at new models to the market. These apprenticeship programmes are quite simply the best in the business and one of the best places to start your career.
