British Gas - We’re an energy and services company. Everything we do is to satisfy the changing needs of our customers. It’s what we’re known for and what we’re good at.

Apprenticeships are an important source of talent, which is fundamental to our businesses. We develop our people and their skills, helping them achieve their full potential, and deliver a positive experience for our customers.

Our Apprentice Schemes are designed for anyone who enjoys strengthening new or existing skills and building a career. Our apprentices are from all walks of life. Almost a third are over the age of 30 and many changed career path when they joined us.

We recognise Apprenticeships as key to Centrica building the capabilities we need to win as a  services company now and in the future. We are working with the UK governments to support a consistent benchmark of excellence in Apprenticeships, and are proud to be a leading service employer in this field.

“ Centrica Apprenticeships are a high quality, structured career journey which supports the Apprentice to be the best they can be. This means each stage is supported and measured,
ensuring both the Apprentices and business area are benefiting. This investment of quality increases engagement and performance output which is transparent and scalable. This also illustrates Centrica as a responsible business supporting the development of the communities around us and investing in the workforce of the future.”

At British Gas, we share a common purpose to help our customers today and secure energy for tomorrow. As a Customer Service Apprentice in one of our Customer contact centres, you could play your part and build a career. You’ll be joining a team of people from many different backgrounds who are united in living our values, doing the right thing for customers, keeping things simple and being extraordinary together.

Looking to do your best you’ll “earn while you learn” and be responsible for resolving a range of enquiries from our residential customers politely and efficiently.
