Oliver Ogilvie, 21

Ollie has had numerous different roles in The John Lewis Partnership. He started back as a supermarket Assistant in 2009 working a Friday night and Saturday. With his College course in Business and Finance in Bedford College not working out he decided to go back to his High School and started his A-levels. Unfortunately Ollie decided that this wasn’t the right move for him therefore left Sixth Form after four weeks. Ollie believes that this was his best decision for him and this freed up his time to fully focus on making a career from his Part Time work in Waitrose.

After 6 Months of his career Ollie had already become a full time Partner and a Team Leader for the branch. In this time Ollie had found his niche in developing his colleagues and wanted to develop this passion further. Following this Ollie helped open new branches in London, Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire.

In 2011 Ollie was nominated for Management Training and worked in various roles in the Partnership until he settled at Waitrose Aylesbury as a Personnel Manager. Ollie stayed in this role for 9 months until he applied for his current role as a Regional Learning Facilitator in Personnel Systems for the whole John Lewis Partnership. Ollie has made his career through hard work, determination and drive.
